Im retiring because Konami has failed, failed to deal appropriately with online football. This isnt a rant at PES, the games is beautiful, amazing detail and realism. Ive been loyal since ISS and become a bit of a Master League superstar but the online nature, the natural expansion of ML, has become riddled with Cheats, I dont want to name names but the people who have been reported keep coming back, evidently not getting banned.
Therefore my wins are generally not recorded, only my losses and draws are. That means roughly 70% of my games lose connection in the 2nd half because the opponent is losing, nobody wins.

If I could make one suggestion to Konami, a simple solution would be to separate regions for master league online. In other words let the Spanish and Portuguese players cheat on eachother and leave the rest of us (Brits, Turks, Germans and French) to compete honestly together. But really, maybe we should just compete in our own countries or have the option, I just got fed up of playing Spaniards all of the time only to have them cheat me out of a win.

Call it a rant, call me pathetic, whatever, gaming online becomes pointless when it is over run by children throwing a fit if they dont get their own way.

Hi, it's concerning MLO and because the cheating got so bad I decided to start reporting, to do this I checked their profile and I noticed that 99% of the people who 'lag out' were spanish and portuguese and yes, they also picked Barca or Madrid.
If you had researched as I have, i.e checked every profile before a game, you would know.
I believe its a cultural thing and will not change in the near future. Germans, Brits and also, you might be surprised by this, the turks are very honest, they never quit. Interesting stuff.

The Spanish league is full of divers irl, maybe this has something to do with it.

are you correctly assessing the proportion of laggers? Perhaps 90% of your matches are against the spanish playes so no different rate than non spanish just equal to availabilty of the statistic?

I believe I am. I message everybody before a game so I have records of who I play and who I report. Geeky I know but it became more of a problem the better I became, obviously. I can categorically state that 90-99% of the people who lag disconnected when they were losing had spanish profiles. I dont believe anybody from germany, france or turkey ever did this to me, I would have to check my reports again.

Anyway, its probably too late for PES 2014 but if possible, I highly recommend avoiding spanish players in mlo, if you can.

so lets say lag cheats has nothing to do with the diving culture. What about Spain being in total economic chaos. Maybe the Spanish laggers think they are earning real money in mlo as there are no jobs in spain??
